Who would’ve thought that an outdoors event at the start of February can be fun? Well, surely not our lovely team of volunteers who must have thought we had lost it when we announced the location of our first Soup, Song & Standup in 2018 to be the Bombed Out Church.

And yup: it was cold, but the sun shone, too. And after all, our target audience has to bear up in these and similar conditions all winter, so we kept the kettle boiling and ladled out delicious soup all afternoon until it was gone.

The Bombed Out Church, a wonderful venue, helped to attract crowds of homeless people, families and tourists who sat side by side, eating, listening and singing along! That’s exactly why we do it 🙂
