We had SUCH a ball this October! Together with organisers Liverpool Mental Health Consortium, we coordinated and promoted 49 events taking place as part of Liverpool Mental Health Festival 2017 across Merseyside . Check out our full programme here.

We started the planning of the festival with One Fell Swoop, Jazamin Sinclair and Ixiod as well as our numerous other partner organisations and venues back in April 2017 and ops-managed 8 events over 14 days! These included the festival’s Art Exhibition at the Brink, the public celebration in Liverpool city centre, the Lunatic Fringe Poetry Slam and the inaugural Festival Finale. It’s fair to say that we enjoyed every minute and can’t wait to do it again next year – watch this space for dates!

Liverpool Mental Health Festival 2017

We’re working again alongside festival coordinators Liverpool Mental Health Consortium on this year’s events promoting good mental health! With events and free activities happen virtually every day across the two weeks of the festival, we can safely say that Liverpool Mental Health Festival, taking place from 1st – 14th October, will have something in store for everyone. So get your diaries out and pencil in:

1st October: ‘Still Feeling Funny’ Comedy Night in partnership with the Liverpool Comedy Festival, get your free tickets here

3rd October: Film Night at FACT screening Donnie Darko and a range of short films

4th October: Workshop Wednesday: everything from flow arts over yoga to mindfulness. Free tickets available from September

4th October: Open Mic night with partners Mellowtone,

5th October: Drama in Development, local authors reading from their plays,

7th October: free festival on Williamson Square 10am – 6pm with stalls,  food & drink and lots of live music! Line-up announced in September

10th October: LMHF 2017 comedy patron Sofie Hagen performs her show ‘Dead baby Frog’ at Unity Theatre. Click here for more info and tickets

12th October: Lunatic Fringe Soap Box – poetry slam at the Brink, all welcome to take part! Free tickets available from September.

14th October: Festival finale at Blackburne House featuring free workshops with Bring the Fire Project, followed by a spectacular, fire-tastic and tribal performance by Bring the Fire Project & Katumba
