We want to make events that matter.

Zest Event Management was founded in 2014 by Nici, with a clear vision: to work on events that are trailblazing, break the mould, and make a difference.

Our roots go back to 2010, when Nici volunteered as a project manager on the team behind Liverpool’s first official Pride. Standing on Dale Street watching the Main Stage being built, she knew events were what she wanted to do — and she wanted to do them properly. The years that followed were spent learning the trade from the ground up: every kind of role, including plenty of cleaning, building, and derigging.

By 2014, Nici had gathered enough work experience and had arrived at a set of values strong enough to set up a business. Zest was born.

What brings us together

We are a team of five who share the same core values: quality, diversity, equity and inclusion.

The people behind the events

After navigating the pandemic through diversification, innovation and outdoor collaboration, Zest – instead of going under – came back stronger. It was the right moment to start taking on staff: enter Callum in 2022, followed by Catherine in 2023, and then by Dale and Andy.

We’re proud of our work

Our portfolio spans large-scale free city-centre events including Pride in Liverpool, the Katumba Halloween Parade, Eurovision and the Liverpool European Festival as well as corporate work for instance for the NHS and the third sector, and finally private corporate clients.

We care. About the quality of our work as well as about our commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. And this is how we work. Just not quite as fast …
