Since July, we have been rolling out an event management course to a cohort of people from Making Days @ The Reader. You can read more about the project here.

The budding event managers have been learning by doing – and fast! They have been planning the celebration of their new volunteering skills and will deliver their own event called “This is Us” at The Reader onn 13th November. The Making Days event managers’ parents and carers, partners and friends, PSS support staff and other PSS services as well as project funders will be invited to this fabulous celebration, which will include food and drink, music, singing, dance, video and much more – all planned and managed by the Making Days event managers.

Operationally, the Making Days event manager team will do event registration, stage management, artist liaison and assist the Reader with setup and take-down. Hurrah!

We have enjoyed every step of the planning and can’t wait to deliver the event with our Making Days team!
