We took part in kicking off the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool: by managing the Blue & Yellow Submarine Parade
In October 2022, Liverpool was chosen to host the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine: a huge honour for our home city! And an obligation that Liverpool fulfilled by hosting a mind-blowingly fab programme of events across 10 days.
The programme kicked off with the Blue & Yellow Submarine Parade, a stupefyingly beautiful and courageous project produced by the Invisible Wind Factory in partnership with the Kazimier and commissioned by Culture Liverpool. The parade wound itself through dense crowds of spectators around the city centre and included four bespoke floats, one of them the Blue and Yellow Submarine.
Our director Nicole was chuffed to bits when the Windy approached her for the role of parade manager. She said” I got to work with a wide range of Liverpool artists and performers on this fantastic project for a huge international audience. An unforgettable experience”.
