On a rainy half-term Wednesday, we were part of the team delivering the Feel Good Family Day, a free outreach event organised by Childwall & Wavertree PCN and Picton PCN for families with young children. Taking place at the heart of Calderstones Park, the Reader Organisation’s Mansion House, the event boasted a variety of activities such as baby sensory classes, face painting and crafts; parents could browse the market place, where local organisations were on hand to talk about their available health & wellbeing offer. Despite the rain, children played on the inflatable in the garden of the Mansion House and eagerly waited for their turn to get into the cabin of a fire engine we had organised. It was a great day all round

Our involvement pre-event included some project management: drafting up working processes, liaising with local health and wellbeing suppliers, planning the activity sessions and working closely with the team at the Reader on the floor plans, the schedules and the setup. Having said that, our favourite part was – as always – the actual delivery of the event.
