BAHT Webinar Series – Demystifying the Difficult 2020

Following government’s advice against public gatherings for the foreseeable future, the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) cancelled their conference in Southampton. Instead, the organisation has been delivering webinar series ‘Demystifying the Difficult’. Webinars are free to attend for BAHT members and non-members!
We developed the format together with the Chair of the BAHT Committee and once the programme had been planned by BAHT, we contacted the speakers, set up the sessions, tested the platform and played a role in the promotion of the free webinars. It was an amazing piece of work to be part of, with truly global reach.
Testimonials:
We were working closely with BAHT on the planning, programming, testing and the delivery of this exciting project substituting the face-to-face conference which had been planned to take place in October 2020, but had to be cancelled due to Covid. The webinar series was BAHT’s first foray into large-scale virtual event delivery and we were proud to play a role in developing the organisation’s online capacity.
“When we had to cancel our conference in 2020 due to Covid-19, Nici from Zest Event Management helped us plan and deliver a webinar series instead of the originally planned face to face event: a new project, which enabled our organisation to extend its reach globally and establish itself online. More importantly these sessions allowed us to support our members who were heavily involved in COVID-19 patient care.”, Hayley Smith, Chair, BAHT Committee
“It was great to have you in charge, so we could focus on content, rather than worrying about making it happen. Thanks for your patience and humour and for keeping it fun!”, Donna Kennedy PHD, NIHR Imperial BRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow
“I would just like to thank everyone at BAHT for the amazing job they did on the Demystifying the Difficult webinar series. I joined almost every event, and found them all to be comprehensive, interesting and relevant. (…) The COVID-19 pandemic has affected my life in mostly negative ways. For me, this conference has been one of very few positives of these trying times, and stands out as a highlight of 2020.”, Nicola Ehlers, Hand therapist, South Africa
